My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

            Greetings in the Lord!  Welcome to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.  We are located in southeastern Johnson County, serving the Franklin Area.  Our mission at St. Rose is to know and understand God’s plans for each one of us; and to continue to grow in our understanding of His love and mercy.  We do this through our celebration and reception of the Sacraments.  The Eucharist, which is the true and authentic presence of Christ is “the source and summit, of our Catholic Faith (Catechism of the Catholic Church, par. 1324).”  We also offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation regularly, after each daily Mass, and before the Saturday Evening Vigil Mass.

As we participate in the sacramental life of the Church, it calls us to action within our own lives to learn more about God and His authentic presence in our lives.  Various ways this is done at St. Rose is through bible studies, our adult continuing education program called “Second Thursdays,” as well as various opportunities for retreat.  In our reception of the sacraments, as well as learning more about the faith, we are called to be involved in our community.  Many ways we do this is working with the Interchurch food pantry, supporting Clarity, which supports parents raising young children, and Kic-it which helps at-risk youth.
