your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.

Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities places of welcome and

assistance for mothers in need.  Help us become instruments of God's love and compassion.

Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love,

together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. * Amen.

Walking with Moms offers valuable resources for finding help with adoption, medical care, baby items, rent and more.  Visit www.walkingwithmomsindy.org/pregnancy for information.

 Support before and after birth

The Clarity program offers women support before and after birth. Pregnancy options include consulting, education, baby supplies and more is available.  the St. Rose of Lima Respect Life Ministry and the Knights of Columbus regularly support Clarity.  For more information, call (317) 535-6596 or visit ClarityCares.org.

Safe Haven Baby Boxes

There are many reasons a mother in crisis may have for not keeping her baby. If adoption is not an option The Safe Haven Baby Box program offers help. According to the Safe Haven Baby Boxes web site: “A Baby Box is a safety device provided for under state’s Safe Haven Law and legally permits a mother in crisis to safely, securely, and anonymously surrender if they are unable to care for their newborn.”

Baby Boxes are located across the United States and more than 100 are available in Indiana, including Franklin, Greenwood and Shelbyville.

A 24-hour hotline (1-866-99BABY1) is available to give women the opportunity to talk to a trained professional as they consider safely surrendering their baby. For more information, visit https://shbb.org/

Let your voice be heard

Are you concerned about the changes happening in society? Does abortion on demand worry you? Do you wish to make your concerns heard; but, don’t know where to start? There’s no need to be part of the silent majority. Let your voice be heard.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has prepared an Action Center with contact information of elected officials as well as sample letters. You can also sign up for alerts of proposed legislation.

Adoption resource

St. Elizabeth| Coleman Pregnancy & Adoption Services is part of Catholic Charities Indianapolis. According to its web site, it is “a licensed, non-profit, adoption agency providing full service and adoptive parent preparation and support for domestic, transracial, medical needs and international adoption. Lifelong assistance and support services are available for pregnant women, the children and adoptive families facing adoption and parenting decisions.”

 Parent Support Group

Parenting can be overwhelming. Not only is one providing daily care for a child, there is also the stress of simply keeping a roof over your head and food on the table. St. Elizabeth| Coleman Pregnancy & Adoption Services, part of Catholic Charities Indianapolis, offers a parent support group which includes educational topics.

Budgeting Tips, Higher Education Options Job Search, Childcare, Child Abuse Prevention, Child Development, Nutrition & Exercise, Cooking & Recipes are discussed. Women are provided with emotional support and encouraged to support each other. The Parent Support group is an ongoing, open group that meets monthly. Attendees are allowed to bring their young children to the group meetings. A play area is provided at one end of the meeting room. Support group members also receive donations, such as household items, diapers/wipes, children's clothing and toiletries.

Project Rachel, the Catholic Church’s post-abortion healing ministry, helps women and men find forgiveness and peace through compassionate help and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
